Dear Readers,

It took about five months to open our online shop, while doing other things, too, of course.  At least we did not pay someone thousands of dollars (that we don’t have) to do it for us.  Opening an online shop entails setting up taxes, shipping and payment options and even writing a privacy policy.  At times it all seemed so hard and overwhelming that I had to dig deep into my tenacity of hope and faith.  But I knew it was worthwhile and doable in the end. 

Since my book, “Instructions for Helping to Improve the Human Condition,” is one of ten million books on amazon.com, we might as well have our own online shop.  And we support local bookstores by offering special pricing to them, so please ask your local bookstore to carry our books and zines.  We would be happy to go there someday to meet with people, if possible. 

The first product offered for sale in our online shop is the book, “Instructions for Helping to Improve the Human Condition.”  The importance of this book is that it explains in logical fashion how one can be a scientist and believe in God.  For skeptics, exploring the spiritual realm can be convincing and interesting.  In addition, the information provided in this book is consistent with beliefs of most humans, present and past, regardless of culture, religion, time, or location. 

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse (Romans 1:20).

Although we were told from graduate and medical school on that we could not be scientists if we truly believed in God, in reality this is not an either/or situation like it is with money or God.

No one can serve two masters.  Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other.  You cannot serve both God and money (Matthew 6:24).

Uncorrupted science seeks truth through the scientific method.  Only truth can be a righteous authority. 

He that follows righteousness and mercy finds life, righteousness and honor (Proverbs 21:21).

Believing in God means believing in truth.  And that, along with astute observation skills, makes for a great scientist.  Nevertheless, I am too honest to get a job as a scientist.  So, I am now a Zumba® instructor.  Please stay tuned for more about Marie Kube’s Dance Fitness coming up soon.
